About Socom Computer's Infinit3
Labs:
Infinit3 Labs is Socom Computer's research and
development (R&D) arm, headed by our resident research and practical
scientist Mr. Infinit3. This department is purely into the theoretical. The lab
is constantly testing things like new materials, build configurations and even
using common items in novel ways you wouldn't normally see them used. Research
is also being done at all times, with information being collected, analyzed and
stored.
The lab is also where our technicians practice things such as
Over Cocking (so that when we get to our customer's builds, nothing will
surprise us).
We are constantly learning here at Socom Computers, so
check this page for exciting experiments and tips!
Our head of R&D
here at Socom Computers, Mr. Infinit3 is smiling as he tells me about the latest
experiment. I can tell he got the results he expected at the very least. He
tells me that the tests were a success, Socom Computers had a viable Carbon
Fiber-based computer case process that yielded cooler case temperatures than an
aluminum case of the same size. His smile got even bigger as he told me that he
replicated the test over and over again. The hypothesis that originally started
this experiment has be shown not to be false. So I asked him the details of the
test, this is what I got.
Test: Internal temperature comparison
between aluminum case and carbon fiber case, simulating a highly congested case
environment with heat buildup issues
Temperature sensor location:
Approximated location of Processor in case
Average Ambient room temperature:
72 degrees Fahrenheit
Test duration 45
seconds
As you can see by the results, the temperature difference is astounding. The carbon fiber case stayed within operational performance temperatures while the aluminum case's parts would have shut down or worse! After hearing this, I immediately asked him for a case. Infinit3 shook his head and said all he had was the prototype. I'd have to wait for the site to be completed so that our engineers could work up a production model. Well, let me tell you all. It's worth the wait!

Carbon Fiber case versus Aluminum case in heat stress test... Carbon Fiber the clear winner!
